Made these this week and recommend them if you ever crave soft gingersnaps. They are super soft and tasty.
Molasses Cookies
3/4 c shortening
1 c brown sugar
1 egg
1/4 c molasses
2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cloves
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp ginger
1/3 c granulated sugar (for rolling)
Cream shortening, brown sugar, then add egg and molasses. Combine flour, baking soda, slat and spices. Mix with shortening. Chill dough for 3 hrs. Roll dough into balls (about walnut size) and roll in sugar.
Bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes.
